if you believe in quality over quantity then this is the camera for you.

The pixel arrangement on this camera gives such wonderful colour and depth of tone it's hard to believe and even when compared to the nikon d200 it is in a league of its' own.

the highlights retain detail better ,the shadows are more defined and have detail way beyond velvia film

It is not restricted to portrait and wedding users either I have used it for landscape, portrait and fast moving sports, wildlife ,flora & fauna and the quality shines through.

for sports you are limited to 1.6fps if you have the dynamic range set above 100% but use panning and you should be fine the color and defintion able to produce 30x20 inch prints for exhibition with no problems.

The use of the hs-v3 hyper utility is a must as it produces the best results from the raf raw files ,having tested the raw converters from bibble, capture one and adobe the fuji one gives better highlight and colour control for tiff files and jpegs from raws.

the battery life is nowhere near the 400 claimed but this is a small price to pay for such quality , to make this an issue would be like like complaining about th fuel consumption on a bentley or ferrari car.

overall this is a superb package used with good lenses you can achieve spectacular results ,and I would recommend the sigma 12-24, nikon 18-70 and the nikon 70-300 afs vr with the nikon 50mm f/1.8 for portraits as a kit with a nikon sb600 flash to make it complete and you can have the best set up you can imagine
