onOne Focal Point Software – The easy, effective way to create selective focus
Create a selective focus point in any digital image with Focal Point
from onOne software. In the past, photographers have relied on large
aperture lenses to achieve this effect; however, this can be
impractical for digital photography. A user-friendly Photoshop/Elements
plug-in, Focal Point is the easy way to tone down distracting
backgrounds and emphasise the key focus in your photograph
post-capture.
onOne Focal Point features an easy to use FocusBug control that acts as
a virtual lens. Using FocusBug, digital photographers can easily define
a ‘sweet spot’ within an image and control the amount and type of blur
added to the background. Focal Point offers a level of control that
hardware tools do not, meaning fewer shots are needed at time of
capture. Easily add vignettes or layer masks, or apply a 3D tilt to an
image. An ideal accessory for wedding, portrait or social
photographers.
Please note onOne Focal Point software is currently only available in English.
Features:
-
FocusBug control – Define a
sweet spot either in a round shape (with the round bokeh favoured by
many portrait photographers) or a plane with this virtual lens, then
control how much and what kind of blur you want to add. Simply click
and drag to position the sweet spot, use the bug’s ‘legs’ to set the
size and shape, and adjust the antennae to control the type and amount
of blur and the hardness of the blur edge.
-
Easily add vignettes – Lighten
or darken of the edges of an image to minimise distractions in the
background and focus the viewer’s eye on the subject using FocusBug; a
far faster method than the multi-step processes common in Photoshop.
-
3D tilt – Tilt the sweet-spot
aperture in 3D, simulating the tilt effect of a view camera or
tilt-shift lens. This allows you to increase or decrease the amount and
feather of blur across a plane.
-
Add layer mask – FocalPoint
automatically creates a new layer in Photoshop, protecting your
original image for further editing. It can also automatically add a
layer mask, allowing you to selectively paint out the FocalPoint effect
in Photoshop to restore important details.
-
Save settings and create presets –
Save the perfect effect as a preset for easy re-use. FocalPoint
remembers all your settings, including the relative size and position
of the FocusBug, so you can apply it to similar images without having
to make any adjustments. You can also use Photoshop actions to batch
processing an entire folder of images using a FocalPoint preset.
