Getting the best result possible from your prints

There are several things you can do to ensure you get the best quality prints every time....   If you are not using our print kiosk, and using our FTP option, you will need to download our colour profile, this will ensure you are able to see the expected results prior to uploading them.

Buying, and more importantly using a colour calibrator on your screen is also key to ensuring colour accuracy. We recommend several options and these can be found on the link below. We would suggest calibrating your monitor every 6 to 8 weeks, and only doing so once the screen has been turned on for a duration longer than 2 hours, with any screen savers disabled. This will ensure you are seeing things on-screen "as they should be."

If you are scanning your old images it may be advisable to consider upgrading your scanner to one of the latest ones available. More recent scanners not only offer an increased resolution and colour range, but also allow scanning of slides and transparencies.

Finally, we understand that you may have questions - so why not get in touch with a member of our photolab today? We spend countless hours working with customers images on a daily basis, and are able to offer support where difficulties arise.
