Sigma DP-2 Digital Compact Camera
Sigma DP2 is the second camera from Sigma's DP range. The concept is straightforward enough; to put the quality and controls from a DSLR into the body of a compact camera. Sigma have done this by putting a 14 megapixel, 20.7 x 13.8mm image sensor into the DP2. This sensor is only marginally smaller than the APS-C sized sensor found in the majority of digital SLR cameras, but in the compact D2 body, significantly more portable. The fixed 41mm focal length (35mm equivalent) lens has a maximum aperture of f2.8, making it capable of stunning portrait images and excellent travel shots, while the full manual controls of the Sigma DP2 ensure that the photographer remains in total control of the image making process. With a range of optional accessories to compliment it's retro styling, the Sigma DP2 is a true photographers camera capable of exceptional performance and one that is small enough to be taking just about anywhere.
